Yoshiko Iwata

Yoshiko Iwata/President

  • Yoshiko Iwata has led J-Eurus IR Co., Ltd., the first Japan-based global IR consulting firm. She has developed a full-fledged IR consulting business providing tailor-made IR programs to meet Japanese clients’needs. She offers “borderless IR activities” integrating domestic and overseas IR.
  • She has been regarded as a pioneer of investor relations business in Japan. She began her investor relations career in 1992 and worked at Technimetrics (currently named “Thomson Financial Investor Relations”), a U.S. IR consulting firm where she served as Senior Director, Japan & Korea. Prior to her investor relations career, Iwata held various positions at a Tokyo branch of a U.S. bank. Her duties included foreign exchange, financing, ALM analysis and risk management planning.
  • IwataˇÇs memberships include: Selection Board Member of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Excellent IR Company Award and Board Member of The Japan Academic Society of Investor Relations
  • She received a B.A. in Economics from Keio University.

Yoshiko Takayama

Yoshiko Takayama/Managing Director

  • As head of the consulting group, Yoshiko Takayama conducts various consulting projects such as institutional investors’perception surveys and analyses, hostile takeover defense programs, proxy solicitations, TOB related support programs, advice on corporate governance.
  • Prior to joining J-Eurus IR, she was a Director of Thomson Financial Investor Relations where she was also responsible for cross-border investor relations. Prior to her investor relations career, Takayama was Vice President of the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch & Co. She worked in New York in the Corporate Finance Group, the Mergers & Acquisitions Group and the Financial Institutions Group. This was followed by an assignment in London, and then on to Tokyo where she provided a range of investment banking services to corporate clients.
  • Takayama is the board governor of International Corporate Governance Network. She is also a member of steering committee of Japan Corporate Governance Forum.
  • She received a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management. She received a PhD (Socio-Information and Communication Studies), Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the University of Tokyo.
